Indianet.es (www.indianet.es) is a common project between Casa de la India and Indian Embassy in Spain; both have been working for 2 years. Proxia® Suite, Divisa iT´s technological platform, has been the technology that allowed to implement Indianet.es
Sunil Lal, Indian ambassador in Spain, came on 13th of December to Valladolid in order to attend to the presentation together with Guillermo Rodriguez, Casa de la India chairman, and Divisa iT´s representatives. Castilla León´s capital had the privilege of hosting this presentation. At the beginning of 2012 Indianet.es will be presented in Madrid, the date will be announced sooner.
The aim of Indianet.es is to provide a space of outreach and partnership with regard to Indian subjects and make common work easier between people in different places. Indianet.es´ users are grouped in communities or interest groups such as academics, artists, creators, students or businessmen; all of them in connection with Indian studies.
The product Proxia® TeamWork has been used as reference for the implementation of Indianet.es. Proxia® TeamWork is a working tool for management and monitoring of private collaborative environments that makes communication easier among users of several researcher, interest or other groups. These groups are integrated into the same authenticated space that offers services of private access to information, group documents, announcements, news, agenda, instant messaging, mail and videoconference among others. Besides, Proxia® TeamWork has a public space, users can access to it without registering, where up-to-dated information about Indian activities in Spain and Spain- India relationships can be checked.
