The Caché 2.0 project, presented in April-2009 to the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation within the framework of the National R + D + i Plan 2008-2011, subprogram of collaborative applied research projects, which is currently under development, aims to develop algorithms, protocols and programming languages that enable the definition of transparent distributed cache systems for web applications.

The application of the results of this project will improve the efficiency of web applications, making it possible to add cache systems in a transparent way and independent of the development of the system. In addition, when distributed it will improve scalability allowing to add the number of nodes that is necessary for the load that is expected to support.

The Caché 2.0 project has been co-financed by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation within the National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation 2008-2011.

The project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
